FAQ’s
Here are some of the questions that we are frequently asked in the course of our car delivery service:
1. How long will the transport take?
From the UK to Europe a delivery can be between 3-5 days. A UK transport move can be delivered the same day, should you require. If we have all the information, we can give you an accurate estimate
2. How long in advance should I plan my delivery?
The more notice that you leave us with the better. At Transcars we like to plan in advance to ensure you vehicle isn’t delayed. Although give us a call if you have an urgent delivery we can always accommodate.
3. Will I have to take my car to your offices?
In short, you won’t. We can offer a complete door to door service.
4. How do I check on the progress of my car transport?
Give Transcars a call. We have the latest tracking technologies enabled allowing us to trace your vehicle to the nearest 10 meters. This means that a tracking device is fitted to our trucks. We can then monitor the truck via the internet. For regular customers we can offer this service on your own PC
5. Is my car insured during transit?
Of course. Our Car Transport services offer a fully comprehensive insurance policy, ensuring that should the unlikely happen, your vehicle is covered at all times. Our standard policy covers cars to the value of £500000. If you need higher cover, just let us know. Our brokers are the largest in the market and specialise in car transportation risks.
6. Who will be driving my car?
Apart from the loading and unloading process, nobody (and unless absolutely necessary see question 7). When your vehicle is collected for transport you or someone or your behalf should be present to sign any documentation. You will see that the vehicle will be loaded at the collection point and then driven off at delivery. That is it!
7. Is my car going to be staying on only one trailer truck?
Generally yes. However, there are occasions ie in the event of a breakdown or in accordance with efficient delivery scheduling, where we might need to change trucks. This is always kept to a minimum and you can ask for this to excluded in any particular case.
8. Can I load my car up with personal items for the transport?
You can, although contents of the vehicle are not covered by our Insurance and please bear in mind that the driver needs to be able to load your car. For obvious reasons do not load your car with any of thre following material: firearms, explosives, drugs, animals, perishables or anything that could be considered a ‘controlled substance’.- if in doubt, please ask one of our team.
9. Do I need to be present at collection or delivery?
Somebody will need to sign for receipt of the car unless we are given specific instructions to the contrary. We would recommend that you are present.
