1. How long will the transport take?

Transport from the UK to Europe generally takes around three to five days for delivery. For our UK transport service we offer a same day delivery if required. Just contact us for an accurate quote and timescale.

2. How long in advance should I plan my delivery?

If we have advance notice of your delivery the more we can cater for your individual needs and the more notice given the better. At Transcars we prefer to plan in advance as much as possible to ensure there are no vehicle delays.  We are however able to accommodate urgent deliveries so please just contact us for more details.

3. Will I have to take my car to your offices?

The answer is no.  At Transcars.com we are able to offer a complete service which is door to door.

4. How do I check on the progress of my car transport?

Feel free to give us a call for a progress check. Transcars use the latest tracking technology which enables us to trace and follow the delivery of your vehicle to the nearest ten meters. All our trucks and lorries are fitted with an accurate tracking device which allows us to fully monitor delivery via the internet.  For regular customers we also offer a tracking service which can be monitored on your own PC.

5. Is my car insured during transit?

Yes. all our  Car Transport services include a fully comprehensive insurance policy, it the event of any unlikely event, your vehicle is fully protected at all times. For standard policy transport vehicles are covered to the value of £500000. If higher cover is needed please just let us know as the brokers we use are the biggest in the market and specialise in vehicle transportation risks.

6. Who will be driving my car?

Nobody (unless absolutely necessary – please see Q7)  except for the loading and unloading process. Yourself or someone on your behalf should be available to sign the documentation once your vehicle is collected ready for transport. Your vehicle will then be loaded at the collection point and simply driven off at delivery.

7. Is my car going to be staying on only one trailer truck?

The answer is generally yes, although there are rare occasions for example in the event of a breakdown or compliance with an efficient delivery scheduling, where we may need to exchange trucks although this is rare. If specified then this can be excluded from your case.

8. Can I load my car up with personal items for the transport?

Personal items can be loaded but please bear in mind that the contents of the vehicle are not covered by our own Insurance and the driver will also need to be able to load your car. For obvious reasons we ask that you do not load your car with any of the following materials including: firearms, animals,  explosives, drugs, perishables or anything that could be considered a ‘controlled substance’.

9. Do I need to be present at collection or delivery?

A signature will normally be required to accept receipt of the vehicle, unless we are given alternative instructions. We would however recommend that you are present for this.
